About Lindco Inc.

We are proud to be owned and managed by a third generation Lindegren having served industry since 1946.

Lindco, Inc. was founded in 1946 just after WWII by Carl J. Lindegren, Sr. and C. John Lindegren, Jr. as a manufacturer's representatives in the tool and die industry. New England was undergoing an industrial revolution with booming machine tool, textile, and manufacturing industries. With a modest office in industrial Worcester, MA in the beginning, Lindco soon became a stocking distributor in the tooling industry and opened a warehouse on West Boylston St. in 1952.

Some years later, Lindco opened a second office/warehouse in Springfield, MA serving its western MA and northern CT customers. New England's machine tool industry's demand for ball screws was unprecedented and Lindco became the largest stocking distributor and converter of industrial and precision ball screws in the United States for many years. In the 1960's, Lindco began distributing valves and filters. This eventually led to pressure gauges, pressure switches, flow switches, and hydraulic tank accessories.

By the late 1970's, Lindco had 2 distinct divisions, the tooling division and the fluid power controls division. The Springfield office was divested in the late 1970's and, in 1983, the current owner, Carl J. Lindegren III, began his career at Lindco, Inc. Five years later, with a dwindling machine tool and textile industrial base, Lindco, Inc. sold the tooling division altogether and focused on the needs of the exploding semi-conductor and high-tech electronic industries by focusing on the distribution of fluid power controls. In 1999 Lindco, Inc. moved to its present location in Marlborough, MA. and represents more than 30 manufacturers of fluid power controls, ball screws and actuators, and flexural pivots. We serve diverse markets with customers throughout the world.
